Excellent community high school with new beautiful state of the art facility. Dedicated teaching staff and engaged parents make this a great experience for the students. Award winning Math program, nationally ranked show choir and 2013 state champion football team - inspiring school!

Too many different townships at this school . This is causing a lot of the behavioral problems ! I hate to see what it will be like in a few more years !

This school used to be a relatively good school. The administration was great, the teaching staff pretty good but the students behavior is ridiculous. Now the new principal is extending the day without a raise for teachers. It seems he did it on a whim of his own. No vote was sent out to the residents.

I have a custody of a niece who is a (transfer student) Senior at Crete-Monee High School and a son who is a Freshmen. I must admit that I am quite impressed with this school. Administration as well as the teachers and support staff seem to be quite in tune to the students and their well being. I am impressed with the availability of services as well as the modern style that the school has to offer. I give this school a thumbs off without a second thought.

This school year was great. The school looks amazing, and the students are so talented- I definitely mean it! All schools may have behavior problems, but this year was very impressive. The fundings are obviously back up again, the teachers were awesome, and overall the school is lovely. The education was pretty good, compared to how other people may think of it. The improvement of CMHS(from its building, to everything else) was outstanding! I recommend this school.

Crete-Monee High School had their first open house for freshman on Wednesday, September 26, 2007. The brand new facility is beautiful and the students should be very proud of their school. The school now has a team approach. All of the teachers seem to be very excited about this coming school year and all have indicated that they are off to a great start. I hope this continues. I met many of my sons friends and their parents that night. The children were very respectful and courteous. We received individual information on each teacher which summarizes their background and teaching experience. I was very impressed with this initial meeting. The principal, as well as the superintendent, were at this event and clearly stated what is expected from the students. Everyone seems excited about this new school year!

Crete-Monee School District is back on the right track having added back many elective courses. If you live in the district, send your children to this beautiful new school, get involved with your child's education and your community.

my son came to cmhs last year for his sophmore year. He always had some special ed classes once in cmhs he had a lot of problems adjusting. The school is not a bad school the teachers are there to help and if you are willing to give your all they are there. I will say the school is over crowed but with the newly built school next door to open in 2007 that schould take care of that. My son had a hard time not so much with the teachers but the students trying to fit in. Cmhs has extracurricular afterschool programs so there are things for kids to get involved in music math sports are all excellent. need more parent involvement kids today say and do anything in front of an adult this year should be much better old building 9th & 10th and the new 11 & 12th

All that stuff about metal detectors and fights everyday and problems are all wrong. I go to the school and none of that happens. Crete-Monne has some of the best honors classes in the State. If you kids if smart then he/she will do fine. Crete-monee also offers Computer Aided Drafting (CAD) that other area schools dont. The Crete-Monee Math Team is one of the top 20 in the state every year and always #1 in our confrence. The people who want to knock Crete-Monee are probably the ones that are failing and have nothing better to do.

The honors programs are decent. If the child is motivated they can definitely get use out of their education. However, the 'regular' classes aren't that great. The kids in those classes just don't seem to care. They have a decent amount of activities & sports. Just the norm. Hmmm, i was a student there & my parents weren't really involved but others were i assume

It makes me sad that students who want a decent education are stuck with this place. It is a stressful place for kids and for teachers - those who don't leave. Budget cuts have hit classes and extracurriculars. I cannot recommend this place at all. If you are thinking of moving here and will be stuck with the Public School, move somewhere else.

I have never been so disappointed with a school district like this one. The leadership is all about self. The do not take their students into consideration. The Superintendent continues to get a increase but cut programs for the students in the district. The programs at the elementary level has suffered under this leadership. The parents don't want to get involve because of the schools try to keep them out. There is no diversity in this district in regards to the teaching staff with over 60% of the students being african american. This district definitely needs better leadership.
